Empire strikes like a shot in the dark,
The citizens hardly stir. At home, that is.
It's victims run at first sign of a spark.
Mothers, daughters, brothers and fathers,
Get caught in the carnage before anyone bothers. Climate change, stock exchange, domestic problems abound,
Yet the violence abroad makes barely a sound.
Good people go about their day-to-day lives,
Not realizing the pain their action derives.
We think we’re helping, the world police,
Do we not see the suffering we’ve unleashed?
